The Australian Youth Climate Coalition unites youth organisations to build a generation-wide movement to prevent climate catastrophe. Our alliance combines our forces, leveraging our collective power to create change for a clean, efficient, just and renewable energy future. We will inspire, educate, empower and mobilise young Australians to take action on climate change. We will coordinate, communicate and network with each other, and run shared projects and campaigns.
We are a non-partisan coalition mobilising our generation in the struggle for climate justice and a clean energy future.
The World Youth Day Christian Youth Climate Declaration
The AYCC believes in engaging a broad and diverse range of young people, including youth from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, regional youth and young people of faith.
Our multi-faith youth climate messenger program is a tailored version of our Switched on Schools program, specifically for education and action within faith communities. Specific resources will be created for these communities, based on religious texts and doctrines.
We are leading workshops and presentations as part of 2008 World Youth Day in Sydney. And in partnership with participating organisations, have tailored a climate declaration specific to WYD pilgrims.
